Manifesto for the Disconnected Generation
The year is 2008, and a new Genesis is upon us. We're Gods in our own minds, creating and reinventing as our Wills see fit for the purpose of making our journeys easier. The buzzing shells forged from our fingertps have made the tendons of our mind's stride no less sore. We still feel the jealousy, the hatred that bursts forth like particles from a collapsed galaxy of innocence, the folly of kings and inadequacy of fiefs, though now with a new light to shine on us in our raw glory.
With that said, the question is, what happens to the children of the lost? How does one give birth to a plentiful garden if our inherited Earth is alread salted with the lamented sighs of acceptance? Once the futures and minds of our brothers laid like clay, ready to be sculpted by those with the courage to overlook an unforseen finish. The Spector of Apathy now looms, vanishing when the unsubstantial smothers our vision, with it Scythe pressed to our neck when ignorance and destruction stare into our untrained eyes. Fear is the true 4th dimension, affecting our every move like a gravitational pull. Our generation has forgotten that our life a walk into the unkown, our productions merely fragments of our perception, our purpose to walk into the Abyss, then reproduce and lead our seeds down that same road. As we reject our brothers wearing different garments and holding different ideas, we curl into the shell of stagnant life, or in other words, endless death.
Maybe my our eyes have been tainted. The electric glow that threatens the sanctity of my soul may be the same as the emerging clouds of soot and gas that shook the hearts of men ages ago. Perhaps the tyrants running the War Machines stare beyond our hope with the same intensity as the Pharoah, standing atop the pyramids of forgotten blood. Perhaps unhappiness is inevitable, as our dreams wear the beautiful veil of impossibility, it's clothing appearing cheaper as we feel it's texture. Perhaps honesty and integrity are the traits of fools, and one must embrace the qualities of the Devil to walk in the heavenly kingdoms of Earth. But the would truly be the greatest flaw of our generation, to accept the harsh realities of life unflinchingly.
So go forth, 21st Century man and woman. Mold the winding road as you see it, not as it has been laid for you. Look for the qualities among your fellow men that cannot be touched. Take grasp of your soul, and don't relinquish it to the hypnotizing powers that be. You can escape the arduous building of your personal pyramid to reach Babylon. But Babylon is burning, always and forever.
